Tonight We Ride

This is a video collage from the 1970s of the group of motorcycling buddies self-styled the Lone Wolves M/C. For a number of years, we took an annual motorcycle trip of one or two weeks, traveling such routes as the Lake Superior shoreline, Blue Ridge Parkway, New England, the Indianapolis 500, the Ozarks, and other memorable journeys, always full of fun and adventure. Yes, it was great to be in our 20s with few cares in the world!

On several of these trips I took along my 8mm movie camera, putting together a record of some of our adventures. The film that you can view below is an introductory piece to a compilation DVD that I made a few years ago with the films converted to video format. And it just seemed so appropriate to set it to a song by my favorite singer-songwriter, Tom Russell.
